KPMG Law assists Group Machiels with the acquisition of a majority stake in Global Langerlo NV
Group Machiels has acquired a majority stake in Global Langerlo NV, the owner of the grounds of the former Langerlo energy plant in Genk (Belgium). Group Machiels entered into a joint venture together with Global Real Estate to coordinate the demolition works in progress and to further develop the grounds. KPMG Law and KPMG assisted Group Machiels during this transaction. The teams were led by Silvie Broekx (KPMG Tax, Director, Corporate Tax) and Thomas Vandersmissen (KPMG Law, Counsel, Corporate Law/M&A).
