Embracing new challenges together
The tax and legal environment is continuously changing and as from 1 January 2020, all Belgian legal entities are impacted by changes to corporate tax and quick fixes regarding VAT. Let’s not forget the new Company Code and challenges with employment and business law (B2B), to name but a few.
Other challenges include digitization, with cyber security increasingly under the spotlight of both customers and regulators. From a sustainability point of view climate change remains a hot topic as organizations seek to reduce their ecological footprint by embracing more environmentally-friendly mobility solutions.
To get you up to speed, KPMG Tax & Legal Advisers and K law are organizing their annual Tax & Legal Update seminar.
The morning session will be dedicated to legal topics such as the new Company Code, trends in M&A, the new rules on B2B contracts, the draft bill on new property law, sustainable finance (new developments), cybersecurity, public procurement and social law. The afternoon session will first focus on the quick fixes regarding VAT and then on direct tax topics including corporate tax reform and recent developments in flexible reward and mobility.
