Termination of the election procedure

Kirsten Van de Steen

In certain situations, the election procedure can be completely or partially terminated. In the event of a complete termination – for example when all candidacies have been revoked - the vote does not have to be organized. In case of a partial termination – for example when no candidate list has been submitted for one or more employee categories - the procedure continues for the other employee category(ies).

Did you know that the complete termination of the election procedure must be recorded in a notice in accordance with the model available on the website of the Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue and that the partial termination must be recorded in an official report in accordance with the model provided by law, including the reasons why no vote has taken place?
